I met Laura in Paris…. and in fact she wasn’t alone. She was expecting her first girl & her third child. As I was talking to her, she said that she was rather jealous of all the pretty dresses appearing on my blog. So when the Paris gang decided to organise an online babyshower for her little girl, I immediately decided to make her a small baby dress! An Ileana & Louisa mash-up. A quick dress, since I know her little girls will grow out of this dress pretty fast. I’ve sewn the smallest size I’m offering in my pattern: a 1YO. So I hope it will be worn at least 6 months. ;)
I don’t have very attractive pictures to show you as I don’t have a 1yo girl anymore. The fabrics I used are a perfect match to me. The main fabric is a new one (was a new one at the time I’ve sewn the dress) from ‘un chat sur un fil‘. It’s super soft. I combined it with (I think) an Art Gallery fabric that I bought a long long time ago at Frieda Hain in Berlin. A lovely shop that I would surely want to visit again one day.
I’ve sewn this Louisa & Ileana mash-up dress again today (for Nore & Lisa) to show you how to sew one yourself. I hope to blog about it soon!
Congrats Laura with your little baby girl. She looks adorable!
Mooi!
Bedankt!
Oh how cute!
Thanks Olga!
Prachtig!
Bedankt!
Marte I can’t thank enough for this stunning dress. I adore the fabrics you’ve used and can’t wait for Willow to wear it. I am so thankful to have made such lovely friends through blogging.
