Birch fabrics: circa52 blog hop

Today I’m part of a blog hop organised by Birch organic fabrics. I got the chance to sew with a fabric from the beautiful Circa52 collection by Monaluna. I’m a big fan of this cute little fabric (and I’m not the only one!). Since I didn’t want to cut the small panel in pieces I decided to make a basic little Julia for Lisa & Nore. That this project was ready in about 1 hour was a plus, because I had to spend most of my time to the launch of the paper patterns.

At first I wanted to make a long sleeve version, but my panel turned out to small! So let’s hope summer is just around the corner. Lisa & Nore can’t wait to start wearing this Julia. The fabric is unbelievably soft. I can’t blame them!

It’s a coincidence, but a little detail from the fabric matches with our wallpaper! :) I used this as a perfect excuse not to bother Lisa or Nore with posing. They are at this age, that I can’t always convince them to take pictures. I can totally understand that they sometimes just don’t feel like being photographed…

I used my own little label for the very first time! I love this detail. Makes it look more professional, don’t you think?

You can have a look at the full Circa 52 fabric range over at Birch’s blog. And last but not least, you can win a package with all the fabrics from this collection to make sure to visit their blog right now!
