The bubble skirt by Straight Grain was already for such a long time on my todo list. I love the simplicity of the design and yet it’s such a special cute skirt! I was thinking of changing the skirt a little to a twisted version but at the end I just followed the pattern. And to be honest: I don’t regret my discussion. The bubble skirt pattern is just perfect and guess what: it’s a free pattern by Straight Grain that was posted a while ago on Sew Mama Sew. I can only just recommend you to make your own version! If you can make ruffles, you can make this skirt! It’s really easy!
The fabric is from one of my alltime favourite brand: Cloud 9 (Chinoiserie). I bought this beauty at Georgette and I’m really happy with the fabric: it makes the bubble skirt very chique! Thanks An for the free pattern! And I would recommend to try all her patterns! The Tinny dress pattern will go with me to Romania. But it will have to wait a little longer than expected because we have to postpone our trip for one week…
The skirt is really cute. Good job!
I love the fabric and I need to check out this pattern. So cute!
hopelijk is je man snel beter
groetjes
Love that fabric!
Schattig en vrolijk! En dat stofje is echt super!
Dikke merci voor de shout-out, Marte! Maar wat een teleurstelling dat je je trip moet uitstellen – je kijkt er al zo lang naar uit! Veel beterschap voor Bjorn.
Lovely skirt, Marte! And the flowery/birdy fabric is so sweet!!
Love both shirt and fabric!
Pretty, pretty (I do have a crush for bubble shirts and dresses …)
Sorry to hear about the postpone of your visit (hope everything will be ready soon :-)
The skirt is super cute! Love the fabric!
This is so adorable! Great fabric choice for a great pattern! Thanks for reminding me about this pattern – I need to make one too:)
your skirt turned out lovely! that fabric is gorgeous! I love An’s patterns, I’ve recently tested the tinny and the bubble dress and both are wonderful!
Now that I’m recovered from a little accident with the sewing machine, I’m definitely going to make a bubble skirt too! I think it could look great paired with your soon to be released new shirt pattern!
The fabric is wonderful! I LOOOOVE simple skirts paired with fab fabrics… it makes such a big statement.
