Contributors week #1: Dorothée + a new tutorial!

Dorothée is one of those bloggers I admire a lot. She’s super creative and her pictures are always perfectly styled! For my contest the made this ‘upside down Louisa‘ as she calls it. A beautiful hack that I will surely make myself. This is on top of my priority list after I’ve finished sewing all my Susanne cardigan models to present my new pattern. And guess what: Dorothée wrote a detailed tutorial for you in Dutch & English. isn’t that just great? You can download the instructions HERE. Thanks a lot Dorothée. I hope a lof of hack like this will follow as I think this dress is stinking cute!!!

I was so excited when I received an email some time ago by Marte of Compagnie M. in which she asked me to become a contributor for her blog. She thought it would be nice if I could make a tutorial for making this dress of which I made 4 already: The Louisa upside down! 

This dress is really a mix & match of the Ileana and the Louisa dress. For the green dress I uses the pattern of the Ileana dress but with the pocket of the Louisa dress on the upper part. However for making this dress, I will be using the upper part of the Ileana dress with the pocket of the Louisa dress. Puff sleeves of the Tinny dress and a smocked skirt with the pockets of the Ileana dress. 

The fabric is from Soft Cactus which I won at Lizzy L’oiseau, again many thanks for this! I could choice 1 meter of Fabric to my liking from the entire new collection. My choice was quickly made.

As you can see, I do like retro!

Toen ik een tijdje geleden een mailtje kreeg van Marte van Compagnie M. met de vraag of ik het zag zitten om mee te doen als contributor op haar blog was ik superblij. Ze vond het wel leuk dat ik een tutorial zo maken van dit jurkje waar ik er nu ondertussen 4 van heb: De Louisa ondersteboven!  

Dit is een mix & match van de Ileana en de Louisa jurk. Bij de groene jurk daar heb ik volledig het Ileana jurkje gebruikt en op het bovenstuk de zak van de Louisa jurk genaaid. Bij de versie die ik nu ga tonen daar heb ik het bovenstuk van de Ileana jurk gebruikt met de zak van de Louisa. Pofmouwen van het Tinny jurkje en een rimpelrok met de zakken van de Ileana jurk. 

Het stofje is er eentje van Soft Cactus die ik gewonnen heb bij Lizzy L’oiseau, nog een keer bedankt hiervoor! Ik mocht toen een metertje stof kiezen uit de nieuwe collectie. Mijn keuze was snel gemaakt :)  

Zoals je ziet ik hou wel van een retro kantje :)
