The Ileana dress includes a lot of options. I think the look of this dress changes when you choose a raglan bodice in stead of the regular one. Actually I started developing the pattern from this raglan option, but then afterwards I included the regular bodice too. This way I would like to promote the interchangeably of my patterns. I think it makes Compagnie M. unique. You can use 3 other Compagnie M. patterns to swap pieces with this Ileana pattern to create your own new dresses. Sounds great, don’t you think? Just imagine a Louisa dress without the big pocket, with a peter pan collar and a button placket? Just use the Louisa lining pieces for this type of dress. To be continued!
Now let’s go back to this new Ileana dress: as you can see, I started from the raglan sleeve option. With piping… Of course: I love piping!
My girls love the flora collar and they’re not the only ones… At the hem, I repeated a similar detail. The extra special touch.
And of course the full circular skirt: again!
I bought this fabric a while ago from Deborah’s personal stash. I love it. The collar is sewn from a vintage fabric. Really old and smelly! ;)
Today I invited the pattern testers for a photoshoot and we had a marvellous day. After a couple of rainy days, the sun shone especially for us… I have about 1500 pictures to go through now. I think I just selected 13 pictures for the first 100. I’ve got some work to do. Thanks to all the testers (in general) and of course to those that came to Antwerp today. It was an unforgettable day. So many Ileana dresses at one place. A great feeling. I’ll surely organise more photoshoot days in the future. I love the result so far. What do you think? It’s just such a special location…
What a special day! One where we could act funny as well. Thanks Nore for this crazy picture! :)
