Julia dress: with tutorial soon!

By Sunday,11 October,2015Blog

UPDATE: you can find the free tutorials and pattern piece HERE!

The Julia sweater can easily be turned into a dress. At first I wanted to include this dress option in the pattern, but depending on the type of jersey, the circular skirt didn’t turn out beautifully in the pattern test. So ever since I launched the Julia I hoped to add a dress tutorial one day. The idea of the circular skirt eventually became one of the options for my Ileana dress pattern. I’m glad it turned out this way. :)

When Nosh fabrics asked me whether I wanted to part of their new collection tour, I though this was the perfect opportunity to combine both projects in a Julia dress. Today I present the result, next week I’ll write a free tutorial for you.

The waist can be adjusted by a little jersey strap I made. I’ll show you a little trick to sew one in your favourite fabric. Best trick ever! :) With two button holes and a tunnel, this makes a cute little detail.

As you know I’m a big fan of Nosh fabrics. Who doesn’t like soft organic jersey fabrics for quick projects like this one? You can win a large pack of their fabrics in the contest so make sure to participate! Thanks Nosh for sponsoring my contest and for sending me this fabric. Lisa is super happy with her ‘soft’ dress. :)
