Lila wrap dress

By 23/12/2015Blog

Today Sylvia and I present a 2nd bodice option to make a Lila dress wrap dress. With this one extra pattern piece, you can create a completely different look. Wrap dresses are super easy to put on so a perfect solution for baby dresses without zippers or other closures.

This wrap option includes a tie at one side. A small detail to add a girly touch.

In this Lila dress we brought together different types of fabrics: a stunning Art Gallery jersey from Sylvia’s personal stash, with a solid pinkish one. The flap pocket and straps are sewn with a charmbray left over. For these small details I love to use woven fabrics.

To finish the dress, we added a vintage yellow button. So funny: going through my personal button stash, Sylvia and I immediately picked this same button (from the +/- 2.000 buttons I own. )

In this version we used the skirt piece without box pleat at the front.

Thanks Sylvia for taking this super cute pictures of the dress I’ve sewn for beautiful Lila. She’s just too adorable!
