Lotta dress… with a twist!

By 25/07/2016Blog

I’ve sewn this Lotta dress months ago… I love the result but I never actually got the chance to post the pictures because of the lack of time. You know how that goes, right? Now that I have a small sunstroke and have to stay in the shade the whole day, I have more than enough time to blog it! :)

I’ve drawn this pattern because the Roller skate dress pattern from Oliver & S turns out to small for my girls now. It’s only up till 4yo (small size ranges) and I didn’t felt like buying the bigger ones since it’s so easy to turn my Lotta dress in a similar one.

I took the top part of the Lotta dress, added an A line bottom part and that’s basically it! The print of this gorgeous Cotton & Steel fabric inspired me to freewheel a bit with the collar.

The dress closes with a blind zipper and at the side seams I added two small elastics to accentuate the waist a bit.

I could squeeze this dress out of a 70cm coupon that I bought from Babarum. Just in time because my girls are growing so fast!
