Here is my very first attempt at the Louisa dress. I am VERY new to sewing and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! The pattern was fantastic for a beginner and I look forward to trying it again and again. I chose this fun ‘Pugs at the beach’ fabric as a little summer cheer as we head into a cold Canadian winter.

Lovely indeed! Never thought of making real buttonholes for the Louisa. Nice idea!
I wanted to use those buttons and to sit right they needed real holes so I had to teach myself button holes! These are my first two successful buttonholes😊. I truly love this dress pattern and I will be trying again immanently, thank you for designing it!!
