Mara dress version 1

After my pattern test, some seamstresses gave me the hint to make a dress version of my Mara blouse. Not a challenge if you ask me, because it’s just a matter of extending the bottom seam and finished! To make it a little more special then that, I added a green band…

Both fabrics are for sale at the Ki&KO webshop. I would like to thank Pascal for sponsoring this great fabrics! Normally my budget would not be big enough to afford these beauties, so I’m really happy with your support! The Peking Red fabric is from Free Spirit and designed by Rowan. Some coordinating mint green fabric matches this Oilily like fabric perfectly. The bias binding is ‘home made’, again!

I added the original butterfly sleeves on this dress because the fabric is to special for the flutter version.  The butterfly sleeves give this dress an oriental look.  A little bit too long, but sewn for next summer. Oh, I hope she won’t grow to fast!
