Wow! A sewing contest! And who would have thought I would be entering a sewing contest? After all, I can barely sew.
I just bought a sewing machine in May of 2013, and I’ve been doing the first sewing since I was a teenager.
The Louisa dress represents a lot of firsts for me: the first zipper, the first use of piping and the first time I sewed something that really impressed my daughter Iris. Quite rightly, Iris is of the opinion that the Louise dress is like nothing else in her wardrobe.
There are no modifications on this pattern, as I was too happy just to complete it, but there are a lot of trouble spots. Iris is wearing size 7 and she is 7 and a half years old. The fabric is Joel Dewberry Bungalow that I won from Gail’s blog probably actually. Yeah!
I have to admit, after winning 4 yards of fabric, I entered every give-away opportunity for the new Louisa pattern on the blog tour, but it was not to be. In the end, fabric and pattern were united.

I love these fabrics you use. Great taste!
