Today I’m launching my Lucy dress / top / skirt pattern. You can buy it for 7 euro in MY SHOP.
The Lucy dress / top / skirt is the perfect summer pattern. In about one hour, you can create a vintage style summer garment for your little girl. With elastic thread and the right technique, I’ll show you how to shirr. Along with the dress / top / skirt options, I have included three types of straps and the option to add a faux button placket. In the instructions I will show you how to shirr on a Pfaff, Bernina & Brother sewing machine. Are you ready for endless shirring fun?
The pattern includes three garment options…
- Lucy dress (shown below)
- Lucy top
- Lucy skirt
…and three straps to choose from for the dress / skirt:
- Regular straps (shown below)
- Knotted shoulder straps
- Knotted halter straps
Last but not least, the pattern also includes an option to add a faux button placket at the front.
Together with the basic version of the pattern some of these pictures are published in the 3rd issue of Love Sewing Magazine UK. I made those a long time ago, so I’m happy that I can finally share them!

The fabric I used for this dress is one from the Arcadia collection by Cloud 9. Just released, but Cloud9 was so generous to send me some fabric before the release date especially for this project! Thanks a lot!
