Hi.I’m Evie from Pendle Stitches and I’m really happy to be part of this blog action and to share my Mara top with you today.
Whilst my Mara didn’t actually go to Paris, she undoubtedly has a certain French je ne sais quoi!
I’ve been eyeing up this lovely little top for quite some time and had such fun with this!
Whilst it has some delightful design details such as the buttoned bib front with contrast piping,
teeny tiny tucks,
and charming butterfly sleeves, it’s not at all difficult to put together. It really is a joy to sew.
It really is a joy to sew.
The instructions are clear and detailed and the pattern beautifully drafted. The blouse comes together quickly and simply and looks adorable. Although Button is 6, I checked the sizes on the pattern and made the size 5 as that matched her measurements. It’s a perfect fit!
It’s also really nice to have a pattern that has a little more to it than a simple, plain bodice…much as I love those. This is a versatile pattern that allows you to really make the most of all the gorgeous fabrics that are out there. I’m so glad I finally made Mara. Thank you Marte for such a wonderful pattern.
