Precious Susanne!

By 03/03/2016Blog

This Susanne is  special to me. I don’t know how long this precious Atelier Assemblé fabric stayed in my stash waiting for the perfect pattern? I think about 2 – 3 years. I never ever wait to use a fabric that long. If a fabric is not being used after two years I normally just sell it again. ;) But this one I kept for ages. I think it’s such a beautiful quality. Super warm and comfy. I think it’s a wool blend, but I’m not 100% sure.

It was only when I bought a 2nd (striped) Atelier Assemblé fabric a couple of months ago, that I realised how well they matched. At first I wanted to keep this one for a sweater for Bjorn, but in the end I’m glad that I used it for the Susanne. :)

We went to the harbour in Ghent to take this pictures. It was a rainy day, so everything the sun came out, we took the chance to take some pictures. This is one of my favourite cardigans, but I’m also super happy with the pictures. Thanks Bjorn!

Some detail pictures! I let the outer fabric curl outwards on purpose . :)

What do you think? Will you sew a long or a short Susanne for yourself? My personal favourite is the long version, but this fabric combination is special to me. So in the end I love both! Haha!

By the way: I could use some help to proofread my English instructions… Are you a native speaker? Just leave a comment if you feel like checking them. I can offer you a free PDF pattern in exchange. Thanks a lot. I truly appreciate your help!!!
