Yesterday I received an email from Regina (Twee emmerkes water) saying that she made my Stella Skirt! ‘Have a look at my blog’ she mentioned. And then I got this little euphoric moment: she was the first to send me pictures of my own Stella Skirt pattern. These little steps are for me, as a beginning blogger, so exciting. I directly asked her whether she would like to guest post on my blog. You can admire the result underneath. Regina and I started blogging almost at the same moment. She describes herself as stubborn, a little crazy and mother of two: Maximonster and Minimonster. I have the feeling that she has a good sense of humor. Most of her projects, she realises for her little monsters. So I’ll surely keep following her blog. And since she recently became the owner of twin needles, I hope she will use them to make some of my t-shirt patterns that are to follow…
‘Would anyone like a free skirt pattern, just mail me’ she mentioned on her blog. No question that I wanted it! Surely after seeing Marte’s own creations.
The Stella skirt is a very cute pattern, great for a quick project and for anyone to use, as it comes with a great tutorial. Very professional I must say. I free-wheeled just a little bit by adding some piping between the waist band and the ruffled part.
There will definitely be more of these skirts to follow! Mini-me and I love it! But first of all I’m going to make a skirt for myself matching my daughters’, as I coincidentally bought just enough fabric – and matching zippers, piping and biais – for skirts for the both of us. Premeditated… you think?
Can’t wait to try the Coat nr1 pattern too, but I’ll have to wait untill the next fabric-hunt.
