Hi everyone! My name is Sandra and I blog over at Summen af liv.
The big Mara blouse blog tour came perfectly for me since I was all about sewing summer clothing at the moment. The weather has been perfect here in Denmark where I live and the Mara blouse has really been able to shine! I love the way this pattern comes out in the end – with a very professional looking finish. The fit is very good too, with a slight A-shape that makes it roomy and easy to play in. And my personal favorites are the details with the pintucks and the button closure in the front. I chose the flutter sleeves this time, but i’m looking forward to trying the other options as well – actually my daughter has already picked out fabric for one more. I love that there are always many options in Martes patterns – that is really value for money :) The ‘vintage’ in my headline is because of the fabric. I love vintage stuff and I have a big weakness for vintage fabrics. This blouse was made from an old pillow cover – i love the way the blue and pinks work together. I chose white bias and piping to let the fabric shine. Also I added some bias to the bottom of the blouse instead of hemming it. It was actually because I had cut it a bit short, oops, but i really like the way it looks too I must say. All in all I had a blast sewing this blouse and its safe to say my daughter loves it too!
Please hop on over to my blog if you want to see more – http://krea-kaos.blogspot.dk/ – and do take a look at all the other blouses, they all look gorgeous! Thank you Marte for hosting a great tour /Sandra
