A winter version of the swing skirt.
I combined this pinky-orangish velvet with those lovely birds. I added some green piping on the pockets and an invisable green zipper to break all that pink.
My own label buttons were sewn on to keep the elastic waistband. This is very necessary because my slim 4 (almost 5) year old has no bum and no belly at all!
Any skirt without elastic waistband tend to slide right of… My little Princess fell instantly in love with the big (read: BIIIIIIIIG) pockets! And so did I :)
The big pleat in the front gives it that twirlyness that she loves in all of her skirts. This is such a wonderful pattern, that I think it needs no twist at all. It’s perfect just the way it is.
I know there will be lots and lots of “swinging” going on inhere!
