Swing skirt becomes Swing dress

Last week during the KCW I finally made two dresses from the book “Stof-voor-durf-het-zelvers

The girls liked them so much, that new versions would follow soon. Then I found out about this Compagnie M. contest, and instead of making the lovely Swing skirt again , I decided to follow Griet’s advice to experiment a little, and combined the upper part of her dress (size 122-128) with Marte’s skirt (size 7y). Besides lengthening the upper part with several centimetres to compensate for the waistband that was not added, other changes were not necessary.

It fitted perfectly !! And now let us hope for some sunshine, the first summer dress is ready…

Ivy, this is exactly what I wanted to sew myself! Can you read my mind? Now I can see that the match is perfect…. Thanks for participating. You have my vote! M

I must confess that it was the first time that I combined patterns, and I was a little bit afraid to do so. But indeed, it is the perfect match. Thanks for inspiring me (and for the vote) !!
