What do you do when you’re ready to launch your first pattern but are not yet allowed to do so? Just start drawing a new one, right? When I came back from Romania my head almost exploded because ideas just keep popping up. Skirts, sweaters, coats & pants. All on my to do list So I just started at the top of this long list. The skirt is called Swing skirt at the moment. One you’ve already seen before, but now I’m about to show you a fall / winter version. I combined some dark jeans with ink blue ‘gabardine’ from Klijntje. Adding a little yellow piping was the obvious choice for me. I just love the blue / yellow combination. I had this fabric waiting for me to sew a ‘Jacob‘ but I changed my mind at the end. The big swing pockets go from the front to the back. How I love those simple but yet special pockets. The skirt can be opened (and closed of course ) with the blind zipper at the back. At the front, I wanted to repeat the ink blue colour, so I used it for the inverted box pleat. To me it makes the skirt just the little more special again…

Now of course my question is: shall I draw a Swing skirt pattern for you? Would any of you be interested in buying a pattern like this? I’m thinking on drawing two variations based on one basic A line skirt. This one and…. another! To be continued.
