The Lotta dress pattern tour: Lexi made

IMG_0137_1

Good morning Compagne M. readers! I’m excited to share with you today my version of the Lotta dress. This is such a cute and simple pattern and the perfect little play dress. The pattern calls for woven fabrics but I decided I would test it out in knit and it worked wonderfully! Now that the weather is so nice here in Utah my girls are out and about running around in our backyard so I decided to make this dress a fun and stylish play dress.

I made it one size smaller than what their measurements called for and totally eliminated the back closure by cutting on the fold so it is a super easy dress that pulls on over their heads. I love the little fold over collar detail with the buttons. It is such a cute and fun touch!

The pattern itself is so wonderfully done. Everything matches up perfectly. The instructions are so clear and easy to understand. The fit is spot on as well. No complaints over here!

My girls love this dress too! They were running around picking flowers (aka weeds) in our backyard all day in it. I love little dresses that are perfect for outdoor fun but still look super cute and stylish!
