The Mara Blouse from… the Future?

The bold colors, sharp lines, and almost Avant-Garde fabric manipulation used here all remind me of… The Jetsons. My husband said it looks like something you’d see in The Capitol (Hunger Games, anyone?).
I honestly can’t decide if I love or hate this dress, even though it is exactly what I had envisioned. My futuristic Mara went through many changes, yet retains several details that are unique to the original Mara.
The rounded yoke, pintucks, and flutter sleeves are all still there. I added length, tapered the sleeves to fit extra-snug at the wrists, transformed the yoke into an almost turtleneck, trimmed everything in neon orange sweatshirt fleece, and used a knit fabric for the yoke and sleeves.
The back is exactly the same as the front. The pintucks were made with one of my machines decorative stitches; the stitch width reduced gradually as I sewed.
