The Mara blouse: pattern release

Today is a very big day for me: the Mara pattern is released! What a special moment! I’ve been looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Hopefully you did too? Here we go!

The Mara blouse is a feminine blouse for girls with a touch of vintage. With several sleeve & dress options the perfect pattern for endless sewing fun!

The pattern includes:
  • Sizes: 1y, 18 months, 2y, 3y, 4y, 5y, 6y, 7y, 8y, 9y, 10y
  • Three sleeve patterns are included: butterfly, flutter or long sleeves. The flutter sleeve & long sleeve can also be combined. Sleeveless is of course also an option. So you have 5 sleeve options in total!
  • Two tutorials to easily adjust the blouse to a basic A-line dress or a gathered skirt dress. Detailed drawings will guide you through this process. It’s really easy, so I’m sure you will manage to do so!
The pattern can be bought here on my blog, by clicking the ‘add to cart’ button under the main pattern image above. The price is 7 euro or approximately 9 dollar. Since I’m a Belgian based company I prefer to sell in euros. Therefore the price in dollar may vary of course.

Don’t forget to use your discount code. I’ve you participated my give away, you should check your inbox! You should have received an e-mail with the discount code!
The 46 page PDF file includes:
  • Instructions (22 pages).
  • A pattern WITH seam allowance included (12 pages)
  • A pattern WITHOUT seam allowance included (12 pages)
Click the images below to get a better idea of what you will receive!

The pattern includes all sleeve options like mentioned above. The pattern doesn’t include the dress options. I wrote two very detailed tutorials that will guide you through drawing your own dress version perfectly. This way you can adjust the pattern to a basic A-line dress & a gathered skirt dress.

Here are some versions I made to give you an idea of the possibilities of the pattern.
The pattern is a PDF file, easy to print (on A4 or letter size paper) and to assemble. The instructions contain easy-to-follow instructions with step by step pictures. The measurements are both provided in centimeters and inches.
22 seamstresses have intensively tested the pattern to make sure the fit is perfect! That’s just so important to me… I can’t stress enough how important this phase of the pattern design process is. Thanks a lot pattern testers!

The pattern is named after a river in Maramures, the Mara I mustn’t explain you anymore that releasing this first pattern will always remind me of the great time we had in Romania!
No pattern launch of course without a pattern tour, right?
