The Nore dress: my first dress pattern for knits!

By 07/04/2017Blog

I don’t know how long this project has been on my to-design-list. Let’s say: forever! All I wanted was a quick project for knits with a Compagnie M. touch. The Nore dress exactly turned out like I had in my mind. Yes! It’s an easy sewing project with a special detail… and of course I included pockets. I think I could have called my brand ‘the pocket company’.

It’s a dress pattern that you can wear all year round as it includes a version with long or short sleeves. Of course I included different options too, but that’s for later.

This Nore dress is probably the most advanced version. Pockets at the front & inserts at the front AND back.

I love the special shoulder pieces in combination with the striped Nosh organics fabric. Actually you will notice that all my Nore dresses will be presented with Nosh fabrics, but that’s because they’ve set up a really nice blogging program. One that involves you too, but that’s for a later stage!

I paired the simple stripes with another Nosh fabric from the new collection. It’s one of the most beautiful Nosh fabrics every if you ask me. So I’m really curious to see their next collections. I love the designs and than I didn’t try to persuade you that the quality is perfect too. And No I don’t write this because I got the fabrics for free!

Now back to the pattern. Besides the special front & back I added a slightly curved hem & side seam. It’s a balloon dress but I didn’t make the curves too round. It’s just an extra touch.

We took these pictures in Italy. Lisa is presenting the Nore dress. Funny, right? I hope you like a first preview on my new pattern? Love to hear your feedback.
