Last Thursday I launched the new wallet project#17 pattern. To be honest. We didn’t expect the cork leather & kraft-tex kits would be sold out in such a short period of time. That’s why we went looking for alternatives.
Mieke in fact predicted this… the gold Bamboo kit was sold out in no time. Probably next Monday it will be available again. But everything depends on a new delivery so I don’t make any promises yet. It might be a couple of days later too… If you want you can already pre-order this kit in our shop but make sure that we can’t promise that the kits can be delivered before Christmas. There is a big chance we will, but you never know for sure!
That’s why we came up with an alternative: the silver Bamboo kit. A new kit in fact. It’s exactly the same as the golden one. Only the gold details are replaced by silver ones. Both in the fabric and the snaps.
I’ve sewn a silver wallet as an example for my fairs and in the meanwhile I took the effort to take new instruction pictures. The first instructions were made with the Kraft-Tex material which made it more difficult to understand. Now you can automatically find the new version with this Silver bamboo cork leather under your account. This way it will become a bit easier to place the pattern pieces in the right way while sewing.
This is the reason why this Silver bamboo wallet is a plain & simple one again. Nothing special, but still so beautiful just because of the marvellous cork leather.
(By the way: the beautiful Helleborus flowers were a gift from Steffi. The little vase I bought at ‘The Action’. I just couldn’t resist buying it. Oops!)
As you’ve probably seen before, the naturel Kraft-Tex version is also available again. But I do have a small note on these new kits. We changed the untreated Kraft-Tex to the treated version. This means is a bit easier to sew and you don’t have to soak it first. The new Kraft-Tex has a different look though. It’s more wrinkled. So when you order a Kraft-Tex kit now, it’s always the new wrinkled look you’ll receive.
