While I was pregnant with Majli, we concidered calling her Mara. Even though we (obviously) picked out another name in the end, this name still brings great joy to my heart. So when Marte asked me to participate in her blog tour, I knew I would be making this blouse for Majli. I also knew it had to be purple-ish with little flowers. I guess it just fits her style.
I bought the fabric at the Albert Cuyp Market in Amsterdam, but you can probably find it in a ton of places. It’s from Poppy and called ‘petits’. The lace piping and adorable heart buttons were bought at the same trip and are from Jan de Grote Kleinvakman (also Albert Cuyp). I’m in love with this piping! It makes the blouse slightly more romantic. And who doesn’t love a romantic flowery blouse with heart-shaped buttons?
This is a lovely pattern, I even considered making two versions, one for Isja as well , but I simply didn´t have the time to finish it before leaving for our summer holidays. Do you recognise that? So many plans, so little time… But it might pop up on my blog before summer ends. Note: I said ´might´, not ´will´, ok? Ok!
If you’re curious about the other stuff I make (I mostly blog about the things I make for myself), check out my blog at www.rachelinred.com.
I also teach several sewing workshop in Nieuwegein, where I live.
