With Love – by Eva – Liv(e). Love. Mara.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl called Liv. She lived on a beautiful farm somewhere in Belgium. She just turned six, an age at which you can still pretend to be a princess. An age at which you can still love your babysitter like your best friend. Definitely when that babysitter is your personal tailor at the same time. Mara voor Liv My name is Eva, I am 18 years old, and I am the sewing friend (visit my blog to see the princess jacket I made for her!). Usually I blog at With Love – by Eva , but I’m honored to hop over to Compagnie M. for once! Even though this means I have to switch to English J Immediately after hearing about the blog action, I knew the Mara blouse would suit Liv perfectly. Using the measuring chart, I chose size 7, which is a perfect fit! The pattern is so versatile that I didn’t feel the urge to flip it. The only change I made was mirroring the pleats. Mara voor Liv Sewing for Liv is a pleasure, since she would still be beautiful wearing a paper bag. Luckily, the Mara pattern is way more sophisticated than a bag. We both love it! Mara voor Liv I chose a lightweight cotton fabric from the French brand Atelier Brunette. It almost feels like voile and is very soft, the perfect fabric for a hot summer day! After reading this post , I decided to reinforce the yoke with fusible interfacing This made the sewing process much easier. I combined with golden piping (matching her sandals) and with flower buttons from Veritas. Mara voor Liv Little Liv loves everything I sew for her, and she loves being photographed. The two of us walked to the most beautiful part of the neighborhood and played in the sun until we were covered in sand and her mommy wondered if we would ever return. Mara voor Liv She enjoyed my undivided attention, and I enjoyed photographing my pretty little friend wearing her pretty little blouse. Mara voor Liv Mara voor Liv Mission accomplished! Thanks Marte, for this beautiful pattern. The result makes us both very happy! Mara voor Liv
